SDT Solutions has been building fiber networks for more than 30 years. What started as a regional outside plant contractor has grown into one of the most experienced fiber construction teams in the industry.

Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Brookhaven, Mississippi, SDT built its reputation through consistent execution and leadership grounded in field experience.
In 2018, SDT joined UniTek Global Services, expanding its reach while maintaining the same operational approach. Many of SDT’s original leaders remain in place today, with several now serving in leadership roles across UniTek and helping guide operations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
As a cornerstone of UniTek’s end-to-end delivery model, SDT provides large-scale fiber construction across the experienced crews and established field processes.

Erik Lambert
President, SDT Solutions
Lambert has nearly 30 years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure and has been with SDT Solutions since 2001. Over his tenure, he has held multiple leadership roles within the organization, progressing through construction and project management positions before leading SDT’s OSP construction operations.
Throughout his career, Erik has overseen large-scale OSP and ISP fiber deployments nationwide, including FTTx builds, central office installations, data center upgrades, underground utility construction, splicing programs, and customer premise drops.
