This Privacy Notice describes the information collection, use, retention and sharing practices of UniTek Global Services, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, the “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) when you interact with or use our websites (collectively, the “Websites”). The Company respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information collected through our Websites and business operations.

By using our Websites, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Company or organization name

  • Mailing address
  • Any information submitted through forms or anything you choose to include in your message
  • Business and operations information regarding the Company’s new and existing subcontractors

We use this information to respond to your questions or inquiries and to process your Subcontractor Prequalification form.

  • Pages visited and time spent on pages
  • Referring website addresses
  • Usage analytics data

In addition to the personal information you provide directly to us, we also collect information from you automatically as you interact with our Websites via cookies, pixels, web beacons and similar tracking technologies. We utilize performance and analytics cookies to collect your usage, device and location information when you interact with the Website.

2. SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES 

When you interact with the Company’s social media pages, such as Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn (collectively, the “Social Media Pages”), we collect basic metrics and use that information to tailor content and marketing. Please note that we do not control the use or storage of information that you have posted to any social networking websites. This information is collected and processed by the social networking websites for their own purposes, including marketing. For more information on how Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn use your personal information, please see their privacy policies. When interacting with our Social Media Pages, we collect your personal identifiers (name and profile photo) as well as any information that you provide when interacting with our Social Media Pages such as comments. We use this information to advertise our services, for events, and to communicate with users via the comment function. Since Social Media Pages are publicly assessable, when you utilize them, any personal information that you post can be viewed by others.

3. HOW WE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising (commonly known as targeted advertising).

We may disclose personal information that we collect: (i) to our Companies, including those listed in this Privacy Notice; (ii) to contractors and other third parties we utilize to support our business; (iii) to fulfill the purpose for which you provide it; (iv) for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information; (v) to comply with any court order, law or legal process, including responding to any government or regulatory request; (vi) if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our clients or others; or (vii) with your consent.

4. COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Our Websites may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information from you when you interact with those Websites. This may include cookies from third parties acting on our behalf that allow us to deliver our content to you. Some browsers have “do not track” features that allow you to inform a website not to track you. These features are not all uniform. We do not currently respond to those signals.

5. INFORMATION SECURITY

We implement appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information that we collect and maintain from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure. However, no security measure or modality of data transmission is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the information that we have collected from you.

6. YOUR RIGHTS WITH RESPECT TO PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

Depending on the applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to any personally identifiable information we hold about you;
  • ask to have inaccurate data held about you amended or updated;
  • ask to have your data erased or to restrict processing in certain limited situations; and/or
  • request the porting of your personally identifiable information to another organization in control of your personally identifiable information.

7. RIGHTS OF CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

The California Consumer Rights Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”) entitles California residents to certain rights. To the extent CCPA and/or CPRA applies to our processing of your personal information, you are entitled to the following rights:

  • Right to Access/Know. You have the right to request what personal information we have collected, used and disclosed about you, unless doing so proves impossible or would involve disproportionate effort. You may only make a request for access twice within a 12-month period.
  • Right to Deletion. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information that we collect or maintain, subject to certain exceptions. For example, if we are required by law to retain the information that you are asking to be deleted, we will not be able to delete the information until we are legally permitted to delete it.
  • Right to Correct. You have the right to correct inaccurate personal information that we collect or maintain.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sharing. You have the right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information to third parties.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination. You have the right to be free from discriminatory treatment if you exercise your privacy rights under CCPA and/or CPRA.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. You have the right to limit the use of your sensitive personal information which includes Social Security number, driver’s license number biometric information, precise geolocation and racial and ethnic origin.

8. POLICY WITH RESPECT TO CHILDREN

Our website and services are not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected or received personal information from individuals under the age of eighteen, we will delete the personal information.
